Riverview Gardens School District is excited to welcome the newest member of the Ramily team Mildred Pettiford, benefits coordinator.
Pettiford will be responsible for maintaining the records of employment participation in the district's benefit plan such as insurance and employee statistics for government reporting. She will manage the administration of district benefit programs, including Board-paid benefits, voluntary benefits, retiree benefits and COBRA. She will also provide benefit oversight resource standards in compliance with local and federal guidelines.
“I want to ensure that the benefits offered to district stakeholders are competitive, compliant with regulations, and meet the financial goals of the RGSD. I also want to provide educational resources to help employees understand their benefit options and make informed decisions,” Pettiford stated.
”I like working with great people and gaining knowledge about the education sector. I am glad to be a R-A-M,” she added.
Before joining RGSD, Pettiford served at TKC Holding, Inc. as a benefit specialist. She also served as the Director of Plan Documents & Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Concordia Plan Services.
Pettiford earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Washington University in St. Louis. She obtained a Master of Arts in Human Resources and a Master of Arts in Health Services Management from Webster University. She also earned a Human Resources Management graduate certificate from the University of Missouri St. Louis.
Pettiford is a National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals member.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing games including, pickleball, kickball and volleyball.
