Koch Elementary School is celebrating Holiday Miracles on Exuma Drive!
Riverview Gardens School District has partnered with the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for the 100 Neediest Cases. The initiative offers additional support to families during the holiday season.
RGSD submitted stories for 152 families in need of extra assistance this holiday season—a significant increase from last year’s 35 families. The district's holiday campaign has received $52,000 to support families across the district.
Koch Elementary School submitted the highest number of cases, with 40 submissions. Koch also also received the greatest amount of monetary donations, totaling just over $14,000.
In addition to monetary assistance, some families have been "adopted" by large corporations like Paric Construction, Bayer and Express Scripts. These companies have also generously provided toys, furniture, clothing and gift cards. The companies have also paid utility bills, rent and security deposits for families in need.
This year, Koch has 412 children, students and their siblings, sponsored by the United Way and Sweet Celebrations. The families will receive gifts to unwrap on Christmas Day.
The President of SBS Creatix will dress up as "Elf" on December 19th at 11 AM, delivering gifts for their chosen family.
